Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Specs
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 is powered by a GA104 GPU processor with an 8nm technology process. The architecture of this GPU is Ampere. It has 5888 numbers of CUDA cores, 3rd gen 184 numbers of Tensor cores. RT core count of this GPU is 46 and TMU (Texture Mapping Unit) count is 184.
This graphics card has a 96 raster operations pipeline (ROPs). The memory capacity of this GPU is 8GB of GDDR6 type memory with a 256-bit bus memory interface. The TGP of this card is 220W. It required an 8pin connector for the power supply.
RTX 3070 has a base clock of 1500 MHz and a boost clock of 1725 MHz. The memory clock of this GPU is 14 Gbps. So on paper RTX 3070 specs seems to be good.

With a higher refresh rate monitor and DLSS technology, the games look so amazing. DLSS technology can upscale the lower resolutions. For that reason, 1440p gaming looks like 4K gaming. So Nvidia’s DLSS with a high fps, the 1440p gaming experience of RTX 3070 is very impressive.

From the above chart, we can see the fps of 4K gaming is not so good. In some games, the fps have come down below 30fps. RTX 3070 has only 8GB memory. So it is not good for 4K gaming with DLSS. This GPU is good for 1440p gaming. If you want a smooth 4K gaming experience then go with RTX 3080 GPU.
