In this coming October, AMD is going to release their next generation graphics cards named RX 6000 series. AMD will also introduce the new RDNA2 architecture with their new graphics cards. The company will stop the manufacturing of AMD RX 5700 graphics cards.
The AMD Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards have a new processor named Big Navi processor. AMD claims this new processor can outperform its rival Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3090 in overall performance and benchmark test. AMD also said it will give the double performance per watt with the new RDNA2 architecture compared to its rival.
In some recent years, AMD already performed well in the 1080p and 1440p gaming segments. So AMD hopes the RDNA2 architecture will perform equally similar in the 4K gaming segment.
AMD will use upto 16GB GDDR6X memory in their new graphics card line up. So it can compete with its rival Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series. So we can expect good competition between these two giants in the gaming segment.
From AMD’s roadmap, we can see some important features, those features are responsible for the performance of the new architecture RDNA2. AMD will use a new 7nm node process. In this new process, the transistor efficiency will increase and the transistor size will decrease. So it can deliver more performance in a smaller size of transistors. The per watt performance will increase for this reason.
AMD confirms that the new RX 6000 series graphics cards will come with a ray-tracing-hardware. For this hardware, the rendering technique will enhance. So it can deliver more faster and efficient rendering compared to the software ray-tracing. This hardware will deliver better rendering compared to the previous generation software based rendering.
AMD also includes the variable-rate-shading (VRS) feature to their graphics cards. This feature can increase the performance and quality of the rendering by varying the rate of shading. So this feature is also important for the rendering. That will give you a great rendering experience.
AMD already showcased, how their RDNA2 architecture based RX 6000 series graphics cards utilizing the ray-tracing-hardware running on Microsoft DXR 1.1

RDNA2 graphics cards also will be used in the PS5 and Xbox X series. That is very good news for console gamers. So now the console gamers can enjoy their gaming to an advanced level for that new RDNA2 architecture graphics unit.
AMD is aiming to capture the desktop gaming segment and the console gaming segment. AMD is going to give a tough fight to its rival Nvidia’s flagship graphics card Geforce RTX 3090. The battle will become interesting. The Big Navi processor is going take an important role in AMD’s performance.
We have to wait for the result. So let’s see, after launching both Nvidia and AMD graphics cards, who will win the race. There are some early reports and benchmarks are available online, but we will update all the information, after the launch of the RX 6000 series.
After the launch of this RX 6000 series, we will publish the review, price, actual overall performance, and various benchmark tests. So friends, stay tuned. We will also give you every answer to these content-related questions and queries.
