APISAK has found a brand-new entry in the Geekbench database that features Intel Xe discrete GPU. The designing example that was utilized in a spilt test was clearly not working at its maximum capacity.
The Gen12 Desktop Graphics Controller with 3GB of memory and an optimal frequency of 1.4 GHz only managed to gather 9311 points, far lower than Xe MAX discrete GPU for workstations. The MAX GPU highlights 96 Execution units, while the spilt GPU gives off an impression of being built on 128 units.
The new GPU that is being assessed by Intel may be built either on Intel Xe-HPG or Xe-LP design. It could indeed be the DG2 GPU that is because of its release one year from now.
The DG1 GPU that pushes the Iris Xe MAX designs card is restricted to 96 EUs (768 shading-units). The specs of the DG2 are still unknown; however, as per prior speculations, the processors may present 384 EUs (3072 shading-units). Iris Xe Max benchmark is also available on our website.
In September, we shared the outline of the DG2 GPU that has been affirmed by Intel to be taped out. It is unsure if DG2 highlights HPG or Intel Xe-LP models, yet it will positively offer a more significant number of cores than DG1 GPUs. The GPU is required to be provided along with Alder Lake-P laptops set to release later in 2021.
