What is the news surfacing about MSI GS76 Stealth?
This year, no upgrade was provided to GS75 design, by MSI, for the 10th Generation Core Lake-H Series processors. However, the GS66, 15-inch variant received a fresh modern black design. Now with the introduction of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Mobile graphics series. MSI will release a brand-new variant of the 17-inch GS76 Stealth laptop.
Despite no specific configuration declared by MSI, we can certainly notice the resemblance it may have with the earlier version and GS56 Stealth variant. The GS76 seems to have a numerical keypad, a wider touchpad (same area as the GS66), and Dynaudio speakers, located in the exact point as did the GS66.
The GS75 weighs 2.3kg, beats the other ultra-slim 17-inch laptops, namely, Razer Blade Pro, Asus Zephyrus GX701, Alienware M17, and Lenovo Legion Y740-17 (2.6 kg to 3 kg) in weight. But there are concerns over its sturdiness, and numerous experts are debating over the latest-designed laptop’s is good structure or heaviness.
The old gold hinges colour was a disappointing feature that did not add to the look of the GS75 variant, not even in the Stealth, Bravo, or Alpha series, and users will be satisfied to hear that they are discontinued.
News and pictures floating on CES 2021 Award Page and MSI’s statement did not confirm the Intel CPU is used in the laptop. But at the same time, it does mention the presence of the most recent Intel processor and NVIDIA graphics.
We are aware MSI is planning to use in its GS66 Stealth the 10th Gen Core Comet Lake CPU (i7-10870H), and we can guess that GS76 may have the same upgrade. In terms of graphics, NIVIDA Ampere RTX 3060 or 3070 and RTX 3080 GPUs are to be used by MSI, depending on the variant.
The GS76 Stealth will have a very distinctive 360 Hz screen, which is only offered by the high-range Alienware M17 R3 or Area-51m R2 by dell, in mobile-factor. We have to wait until CES 2021 to see if this will be the new normal for the upcoming high-range laptops and the critical improvement for the GeForce RTX 30 Mobile Series.
