Some early benchmark (VideoCardz benchmark) is available online. We can see the comparison between Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 in this benchmark test including the performance of CUDA cores and OpenCL.
We are unable to see the real gaming potential of this new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 from this benchmark, but it can give an idea about the gaming experience of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 compared to the previous Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.
This benchmark is tested on the drivers version of 456.6, the current Nvidia GeForce graphics card driver. But Nvidia are going to release the drivers, so we can expect a better performance with the new drivers compared to this benchmark test.
Test Result :
From the above VideoCardz benchmark test, we can see the faster performance of 68% by the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 compared to the previous Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 in CUDA core test. Now for the result, as expected the RTX 3080 models performs way higher than its predecessor, the 2080 RTX model. This performance boost not only helps the gamers but also helps the video editors in heavy graphiccentric works like Rending, 3D Animation etc.
In some other test, the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 deliver twice performance compared to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 and nearly 60% better performance than the the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.
The new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 again beat the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti by 41% better performance and beat the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 by 68% in the OpenCL test.
So we will get a much better card than Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti for $699, which is much lower than the older Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti’s launching price. So it can be a perfect upgrade for the serious performance seeking gamers, who want to upgrade their current Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.
The new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 can deliver a phenomenal performance compared its rival Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti in this budget segment. So the content creators, designers and enthusiast gamers can go with this graphics card. This Model of graphics card wont be disapponting them. We will also publish the detailed information and review about the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 soon.
