Intel is going to launch its two GPU series (Intel Xe HP NEO Graphics) next year. The graphics cards are based on ‘Xe-HP’ architecture and ‘Xe-HPG’ architecture.
Between these two architectures, a major difference is there.
The Xe-HP GPU series will focus on data centers and they will come in three variants. The first variant is 1-tile (with 512 EU), the second variant is 2-tile (with 1024 EU), and the third variant is 4-tiles (with 2048 EU). This graphics card series will use HBM2 type memory.
On the other side, The Xe-HPG graphics card series will focus on the gaming segment. These GPUs will use GDDR6 type memory.
Both graphics card series will have 512 EU variants, a Geekbench leak report claimed that.
We found some information on the clock speed and memory which is used in the device. Intel GPU samples running with 1.3 GHz and the leak report claimed a device with a clock of 1.15 GHz. That means the performance of single-precision work may be lower.
The Intel Xe HP ( 512 EU) is not so competitive compared to the NVIDIA Ampere based GPU Geforce RTX 3070. In many benchmarks, RTX 3070 delivered a faster performance than the Intel graphics card. The bad optimization of this benchmark can also affect the performance of these two GPUs.
We will update more information on it. Stay tuned. For any queries leave your comments below.
