AMD is going to launch the new RDNA2 architecture-based GPUs with the Big Navi processor. The new RX 6000 series graphics cards including RX 6900 XT will have a unique technology named ‘Infinity Cache’.

Videocardz shared AMD’s confirmation regarding Infinity type Cache technology. RX 6000 series GPUs will come with this new Infinity type Cache technology.

Infinity Cache

Infinity Cache is a unique type of cache, which is paired with GPU’s GDDR6 memory. It is placed near to the Infinity Fabric, which will interconnect the cores of CPU and GPU.

So with the help of Infinity Cache technology, the upcoming RX 6000 series graphics cards will have an ultra-fast cache for delivering the fast performance to the users. The trademark for this Infinity type Cache technology was already registered by AMD.

We can expect a fast performance compared to the Nvidia RTX 30 series graphics cards. Nvidia cards have a memory bus of 384-bit, which is faster than Radeon’s 256-bit memory bus. But the new Infinity type Cache will help to charge the GPU memory bandwidth for delivering better performance.

We are waiting for the launch of the RX 6000 series GPUs. After the launch, we will test and compare the real-world performance with the newly launched Nvidia cards. For any queries, leave comments below and stay tuned with us.
