Nvidia released its own graphics card named Geforce RTX 3080 Founders Edition. This card has a new unique type hybrid cooling. It also has a upgraded new design. So today we are going to review this GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition GPU from Nvidia. It is less powerful than Geforce RTX 3090.

Design of GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition

Nvidia introducing a new twin chamber type unique design. The top fan works as a traditional type of blower and air is exhausted through the back side of the case, the bottom fan expels warm air by its airflow, then the hot air can be sucked by the radiator or case fan.

If you see closely, you will find before the 2nd fan, the Founders Edition of Geforce RTX 3080’s main circuit board ends, and you can see the opposite side of the enclosure by the fins gap. Nvidia claims, the performance of this graphics card will achieve the target, which is set by nvidia. So the airflow, which is created by the reduced size of the board is very important to keep the graphics card cool.

This graphics card requires a twelve pin connector for power supply. A twelve pin connector is mounted at 90 degree to the circuit board and it is angled to the front side of the board. The company will give you a portable type adapter with the Founders Edition of the Geforce RTX 3080 GPU. We need 2 eight pin connector (PCIe).

But the cable management is not so easy, so the stunning look of this graphics card will be spoiled. But we can the overall design of this graphics card is very impressive. It can deliver a ultimate performance by its new modified unique design.

The rear side of the Geforce RTX 3080 Founders Edition graphics card has a HDMI 2.1 port and three 1.4a connectors type display port. All 3080 GPUs will feature GDDR6X type memory of 10GB. Memory speed is 9500MHz with 320bit of bus. The total memory bandwidth is around 760GBps. It also supports PCIe 4.0. This graphics card has 1440MHz of base clock and 1710MHz of boost clock. This graphics card needs 320W power.
