A dominant name in the field of graphics cards, storage devices, and motherboards, BIOSTAR has announced the ability to support AMD Smart Access Memory technology by providing users BIOS update for their existing AM4 400 series and 500 series motherboards.
MSI also released the BIOS update for B450 Motherboard.
An avid user can now enjoy up to an 11% boost in gaming performance as the AMD Smart Access Memory (SAM) lets the CPU completely access the GPU memory. If BIOSTAR users can pair their AM4 400/500 series motherboards with AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors and Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards, they will relish the added performance boost.
How to enable AMD Smart Access Memory in AM4 400 series And 500 series motherboards?
- First, you need to enter BIOS.
- Then you have to choose the option labeled as “Advanced.”
- Then you have to choose “PCI Subsystem Settings.”
- Tick “Above 4G Decoding” and “Re-size BAR Support” as enable.
- Finally, save your settings by pressing “F10” and reboot.
