A premature listing of gaming laptops has revealed ASUS TUF A17 Gaming (FA706QM) laptops. It is an inaugural laptop with a 17-inch display, AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor, and an already rugged build, NVIDIA RTX 3060 graphics card. However, the manufacturers have not enlisted the leaked products yet.
One of the premier retailing websites, Experts.de, have also mentioned the specs of the yet to released products. According to the source, the Ryzen 7 5800H processor used in the model will have a base clock speed of 3.0 GHz and a boost clock speed of 4.3 GHz.
It has a similar clock speed with the current generation “Renoir” Ryzen 7 4900HS CPU when it comes to frequency. If compared with the 4800H, it clocks 100 MHz higher in frequency.
The website also lists the forthcoming GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile that has 6GB DDR6 memory, codenamed GN20-E3 GPU. It is an enhancement of the RTX 2060, a vastly popular and budget-friendly GPU, bought with a laptop worth 1000 USD.
The ASUS TUF A17 sports a 17-inch Full-HD display and weighs around 2.6 kgs. The screen is a magnificent 144 Hz panel. The present-gen ASUS TUF Gaming laptops lousy quality of those screens. 62.5% SRGB and 47.34 Adobe color-gamut-display are seemed to be used in the screens together with 250 nits and contrast ratio 800:1, proves it to be the same panel.
The laptop is also bundled with 512GB NVMe SSD utilizing a PCIe Gen 3.0 controller. The fact remains unclear whether Cezanne-H supports PCIe4.0. But the specs indicate that it may not.
This specific ASUS TUF A17 Gaming Notebooks has Ryzen 7 5800H and RTX 3060 Mobile and carries 8GB of DD4 RA clocking at 3200 MHz. The frequency matches with the supported frequency of Renoir CPUs.
The notebook supports the NVIDIA Optimus Technology (iGPU/dGPU switchable graphics), and it should last few hours of usage with the presence of a 90WHr 4-Cell Li-ion battery.
