What is the news regarding the ASRock X370 Taichi motherboards update?
ASRock, for its X370 motherboards, has released an alpha BIOS to support Renoir CPUs and Vermeer. It is advised that only admirer’s spectrum should use this because the firmware is only released as alpha and have been tested yet.
JZelectronic has presented the BIOS in its forum, adding a snapshot of Ryzen 5 5600X running on the ASRock X370 motherboard.
Uncertainty is looming about the number of Zen 3 architecture features available in the ASRock X370 platform. Still, suggestions are there that Smart Access Memory and voltage optimizations may not function on this motherboard. The ASRock X370 series tends to limit its modern capabilities because they are based on the PCI Express 3.0 interface.
ASRock recently releases B550 Taichi Razer Edition motherboard.
What do the sources say?
The update labeled P6.61 BIOS is neither officially released nor officially declared by ASRock yet but is available for download on JZelectronic’s website. ASRock still hasn’t responded to the call by Tom’s Hardware. The latter also reached out to AMD regarding their support of Zen 3 CPUs in AM4 motherboards, but AMD’s response was negative.
