The 5000U mobile series processor’s TDP range is 10W to 25W. This series will be a combination of Lucienne and Cezanne CPUs. Lucienne is zen2 architecture based and Cezanne is zen3 architecture-based processors. The ExecutableFix shared complete information on Twitter.
The leaker ExecutableFix claimed, the CPUs will have a frequency boosts of 200 MHz compared to the previous Ryzen 4000 series (Renoir) CPUs. AMD also made some changes to the configuration of the GPU.
For example, AMD Ryzen 7 5700U will have the same GPU specification compared to the 5800U. Both GPUs have 8 CUs. The difference between these two processors is the architecture (Zen2 vs Zen3). Lucienne and Cezanne both have the same Radeon Vega integrated graphics with the same GCN.
The flagship processor AMD Ryzen 7 5800U has eight cores with sixteen threads. This CPU will have eight graphics CU with a clock of 2.0 GHz. The processor will come with an L3 cache of 16MB which is double compared to the Ryzen 5700U and Ryzen 4800U’s L3 cache. Ryzen 5700U and Ryzen 4800U both have 8C/16T with Zen2 architecture.
The previous Ryzen 4000 series CPUs don’t have the SMT feature, but the new upcoming Ryzen 5000U series processors will have the SMT. 5000U series will be released in 2021.
